The music is incredible, with a mix of langarm, sokkie, and all the dancefloor classics that keep you moving all night. The DJ knows how to read the crowd perfectly, and there’s even a time set aside for song requests, which makes it feel really personal and interactive.
The venue is perfect for dancing—spacious enough to move freely, with a beautiful wooden floor that’s easy on the feet. The layout is well thought out, with comfortable seating around the dance area so you’re always part of the action.
What I loved most is the BYO setup—it adds such a relaxed and personal touch. You can bring your own drinks, snacks, and even a cooler box, so you have everything you enjoy, just the way you like it. It felt more like a big social gathering than a commercial event, which made it even more special.

I had my birthday party on the 27th at the Gat Party and Jurgen and his amazing team had a private VIP space for us where I could decorate and entertain. Jurgen handled my guest list and his whole team were so amazing and made my birthday unforgettable for me and my guests. What an amazing night. Will definitely become a regular at the Gat. Xxxx

Great Space for the LGBTQ family, yet everyone welcome one always feel welcome no matter who you are....Definitely recommend to enjoy a night dancing at the GAT party.

Perfect venue for dancing..wooden sprung floor easy on the feet. Also tables are set on a platform above the dancefloor so uninterrupted free flow on the floor. One of the best dance venues in Cape town
